One of the worst appointments I ever had. Unsupportive and flat out said some non encouraging words like 'you know you'll never be cured of RA' - I know, thanks. Quite outraged about me trying chinese meds and stopping methotrexate - which I understand to a certain point. I tried to explain that even though you know it can't be cured, it's part of my life so of course I am going to try different mediums to help myself. I got very upset to the point I almost cried.
I asked her according to her professional opinion does she think methotrexate is managing my illness well, I explained cause from my blood results it didn't seem so. She immediately defended that it wasn't only blood results they take into consideration. But as far as I'm concerned, she hasn't done a single manual check up on my joints, or assesed my flexibility. The only 2 forms of data she has on managing my illness is just blood test and the quiz I fill in about my pain level.
